G:9 - Expoloration Overview
Exploration has been, and will continue to be, an area of key focus. Farallon owns 100% of the Campo Morado concession and we have numerous untested targets to drill. With last years confirmation of the Abajo zone being part of an older (and deeper) felsic volcanic horizon, the entire area north of the San Raphael fault is now open again at depth. There are very few companies that have the potential to explore for plus 10% zinc on a going forward basis. Again, operations is key. As soon as we establish our operations, we will be back in the exploration game. Looking for the next G-9 mine, by trying to find the next zones with 10% zinc going forward.
Exploration Track Record:
Over the years, Farallon has developed an excellent track record of discovery on the Campo Morado property.
- From 1996 -- 2004 (only four years of elapsed drilling) Farallon's exploration work discovered resources totaling 11.2 million tonnes of indicated resources in the Reforma, El Rey, Naranjo, and El Largo deposits. (Resource Tables found in Campo Morado overview)
- In June 2005, the first discovery drill hole #420 was hit that had zinc grades of 14.16 % that was an interval of 13.96 metres. This was a significant event in Farallon's history as it became the focal point of the future development of the G-9 Mine and what we believe will continue on to become a world-class zinc mine.
- In 2007 -- drilling continued to discover excellent results in the zones discovered to date: the North and Southeast zones. Also in 2007, another breakthrough discovery was made at the Abajo zone. The discovery of the Abajo zone identified that a new, deeper, stratigraphic horizon was mineralized.. The concession area to the north of the San Raphael fault was now open for further G-9 style discoveries .The Abajo zone has consistently showed zinc grades over 10% zinc.
- In May 2008 -- a new sulphide lens was discovered which was named the West extension.
- Over the course of 2008, Farallon enjoyed some of the highest grades discovered to date. In particular, Hole 709 intersected the highest grades encountered to date. ( 5metres @ 31%Zinc and 4% Copper)

Future Exploration Targets
- Immediate future exploration will focus in the Abajo horizon to the north of the San Raphael fault and also to an area north of the high-grade South-east zone already outlined in the G-9 deposit.
- Other Untested Gravity anomalies will be drill tested. G-9 stands for gravity anomaly #9 and was a completely blind discovery. The Company still intends to drill other untested gravity anomalies such as G-8, G-10, G-12, G-16 and G-22.
- Lastly, a significant portion of the concession, which has neither been drilled or tested for gravity anomalies is open to the Southwest of the G-9 mine. A larger felsic flow despositional trend extends to the mined out, old, La Suriana polymetallic mine. It is believed that there is significant potential for felsic flows to host additional volcanogenic massive sulphide polymetallic deposits.
- The Company views the exploration potential for another "G-9" type discovery as excellent.
